A Middle East affairs expert, Hilterman wrote in an article about the possible Syria military operation against rebels in Idleb province that the operation would force Turkey into a dead-end situation and Ankara would inevitably accept any possible Kurds, Syrian government agreement.
He believes Erdogan has lost the game to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as Erdogan had waged on Assad’s ousting from power while the Syrian president is still leading the country.
He added in his article released in The Atlantic magazine that Turkey would likely ask for Moscow’s help and Kremlin can aid Ankara through finalizing a Kurds-Assad deal.
