Iraqi PM denounces Ahvaz terror attack, calls it cowardly

<p style="text-align:left">Iraqi Prime Minister Heydar al-Abadi condemned on Tuesday Ahvas terrorist attack and called it a cowardly move.

In a news meeting late Tuesday, he said that such attacks are carried out by the terrorist groups affiliated to the extremist currents and their cowardly acts are condemned by the entire world.
&ldquo;We should always take care because terrorism is a mental illness seeking to kill innocent civilians and for the same reason we need other countries&rsquo; cooperation to counter it,&rdquo; he said.
Currently, terrorism is an international problem taking place in different countries, the latest of which occurred in Ahvaz, Iran, he said, IRNA reported.
Some 25 people, including women and children, were killed and 60 others injured during September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz which took place during a military parade held as part of the programs to mark the 38th anniversary of an eight-year imposed war against Iran.
The self-proclaimed Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Dozens of countries have so far condemned the terror attack in Iran.
