Over 90% of armed forces participate in Kurdistan Region parliament polls

<p style="text-align:left">The turnout in Kurdistan Region's Friday parliament election for armed forces was over 90%, Kurdistan Region Independent High Electoral Commission said in a statement, explaining that the results of both armed forces election as well as public vote will be announced together.

Polls were opened on Friday morning for the armed forces until 6:00 am local time, while the general election is going to be held on Sunday.
Preliminary results are indicating that the turnout in the capital city was 92.78 percent, 89 percent in Sulaimani province, 93.6 in Duhok governorate, and 90 percent in Halabja province, according to the statement.
Concerning the other cities and towns, the percentage of people who participated in the process was 96.32 in Shekhan, 95% in Zakho, 87% in Garmiyan, and 95% in Simell, BasNews said in a report.
Moreover, it was 91.3% in Akre, 95% in Amedi, 90 % in Soran, and 95 percent in Bardarash.
