Ammar Hakim-led delegation arrives in Erbil

<p style="text-align: left;">A delegation of Iraqi Shiite and Sunni politicians, led by Ammar al-Hakim, arrived in Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan Region on Sunday.

The delegation, led by the leader of al-Watani al-Hekmat Movement Ammar al-Hakim, arrived in Erbil to hold talks with Kurdish leaders in the region.

Salih Motlaq, Khalid al-Obaidi, and a representative of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi accompany Hakim in the visit to discuss the formation of the next Iraqi government.

A Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) delegation, led by Fazil Mirani, welcomed the Iraqi delegation.

The delegation is to meet the KDP Leader Masoud Barzani and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani.

According to Rudaw TV the visit comes days after reports that Kurds in Iraq would have conditions to participate in the next Iraqi government or even they would boycott the political process in the country.
