PUK to negotiate with other parties next week: official

<p style="text-align: left;">A member of the patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Kurdistan Region local parliament stated that the party would start negotiations with other political parties in the Kurdish autonomous region over the formation of the new government in the region.

Riwaz Fayeq told Mawazin News that the PUK is waiting for the fisrt parliament meeting to be held and the party would start talks with the other political parties in the region over the formation of the government.

Fayeq stated that a PUK member should be elected as the parliament speaker, reiterating that the PUK should be considered as a winner in the parliament election in the region as the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) prime minister would be elected from the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the winner in the polls.
