Turkey should resume peace process with Kurds: Sinn Fein

<p style="text-align:left">A Sinn Fein deputy in Irland parliament urged Turkey to release the jailed leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Abdullah Ocalan, and asked Ankara to resume its peace process with Kurds.

According to Sinn Fein website Fransi Mewlui stressed that Turkey should attempt to establish peace in Turkey and the goal is achieved only in two ways: releasing Ocalan and resuming the peace talks.
The deputy underscored that Ankara should respect the rights of all minorities, including the Kurds.
Mewlui further accused Syrian rebel forces of attempting to massacre Kurds in the war-torn state despite the fact that the Kurds have protected the northern part of Syria and Iraq against the Islamic State (IS) militants.
