The agreements were announced during Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi’s visit to Paris, where he met with both French President Emmanuel Macron and French Prime Minister Jean Castex.

On Sunday night, Kadhimi departed Baghdad to begin a visit to France, the UK, and Germany.

In his meeting with Castex, Kadhimi expressed a desire to strengthen relations between France and Iraq.
