The army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL forces that had attacked the pro-government forces' positions near T2 Oil Pumping Station near the border with Iraq and managed to fend off their attack.
Also, the army's artillery and missile units pounded ISIL's movements and strongholds in the region, killing and wounding a number of them.
In the meantime, the army men clashed with invading ISIL militants in al-Sukriyeh region near the newly-liberated town of Albu Kamal in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, and repelled their attack.
Well-informed sources said on Friday that the army soldiers found a large volume of arms and ammunition made by the US and European countries in several regions in Southeastern Deir Ezzur that were previously held by the ISIL terrorists.
The sources said that the army units carried out mop-up operations in al-Asharah, Sabikhan and al-Salehiyeh regions in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, seizing a large volume of arms, ammunition and bomb-laden vehicles.
They went on to say that the soldiers found a large number of armored vehicles, cannons, anti-tank ammunitions and other models of weapons that were manufactured in the US and other European and western countries.
