Protesters in Qamishli denounce illegal US and Turkish presence in Syria

<p style="text-align: left;">Scores gathered in the Kurdish city of Qamishli, northern Syria, on Sunday to denounce the illegal presence of US and Turkish troops on the Syrian territories which constitute a breach of international laws and agreements and an attempt to undermine national unity.

The protesters condemned the US and Turkish interference in the Syrian internal affairs and the attempts to strike national unity in the eastern region, denouncing the visit of former French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner which they considered a ‘desecration of al-Jazira’s land.’

According to SANA state-run news agency the participants voiced outrage over Kouchner’s visit, calling for closing the ranks against US and Turkish occupation of Syrian territories.
