The parliament speaker visited the region on Friday in order the take part in a special celebration of Eizdi Kurds in Dohuk.

Barzani and Halbusi underscored on resolving tensions between the Kurdish region and Iraq through the constitution and asked Baghdad to take necessary steps for the return of the people who have been displaced during the Islamic State (IS) insurgency in Iraq.

It is worth mentioning that this is the second visit of Halbusi to the Kurdish region after he was elected as parliament speaker.
