According to NRT the KDP delegation will discuss the formation of the next government in Kurdistan Region with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Movement for Change (Gorran).

The parties are expected to discuss the positions of the Kurdistan Parliament’s Presidency including speaker and its two deputies and other ministerial posts.

The three parties held talks on the formation of a new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) last week.

KDP and Gorran called for “appropriate steps” to be taken to improve the lives of the people of the Kurdistan Region.

Gorran Spokesman Shoresh Haji said the party would participate in the new cabinet if it received assurances that the government’s policy program would largely reflect their campaign platform.

Following the KDP and PUK meeting, both parties said they would form a committee to work to improve their relations.
