French foreign minister, Masrour Barzani meet in Erbil

<p style="text-align: left;">French Foreign Minister Jean Le Darian visited Kurdistan Region capital Erbil where he met the Kurdistan Region Intelligence and Security Head Masrour Barzani.

The two sides met early on Tuesday in Erbil and discussed ties between the region and Paris.

Le Darian arrived in the region later Monday January 14 and was welcomed by Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani.

Masrour Barzani and the French FM also traded view on the latest developments in the region and Iraq as well as attempts for the formation of the new government in the Kurdish region.

Le Darian has reportedly stressed on continuing France support for the region and stated that Paris welcomes boosting ties between the region and the central Iraqi government in Baghdad.
