The foreign office of the KRG stated that Barzani has made the visit as the head of a leading delegation.

Meeting Merkel, German FM Zigmar Gabriel and Defense Minister Ursula Vonder Lyne are within Barzani’s plans in the visit.

Barzani is also expected to pay a visit to Germany’s federal parliament.
