Moscow says Astana upcoming meeting to be held in February

<p style="text-align:left">Russian Foreign Ministry announced that the upcoming Astana meeting on crisis in Syria would be held in the second half of February.

The upcoming Astana meeting would be held approximately in the second half of next month, Russian Interfax News Agency quoted Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin as saying on Friday, adding that the work is underway to set the date.
Astana has so far hosted 11 rounds of meetings to work out solutions to crisis in Syria.
The 11th round of the Astana talks was held on November 28-29.
The event was held with the attendance of Syria, Iran, Russia and Turkey in Kazakhstan.
Representatives of Jordan and the United Nations also attended as observers.
