Barzani made the remarks during a meeting with a German delegation from Baden-Württemberg region, led by Consul General Barbara Wolf, in Erbil on Tuesday where the two sides shed light on a number of political and security issues, the premier's office said in a statement.
The German delegates hailed the Kurdistan Region, its people and Peshmerga forces in the war against the Islamic State (IS) while sheltering nearly two million IDPs and Syrian refugees during in the past few years.
They further reaffirmed their support to strengthen the relations between the Kurdistan Region and Baden-Württemberg in the areas of education, humanitarian aid, environment, and health.
Barzani welcomed the initiative by the German delegation to provide medical and psychological treatment to the Yezidi survivors of the militant group of IS.
