Syrian Kurds transfer arms to Afrin to attack Turkey army, allies

<p style="text-align:left">A Syrian military analyst stated in an interview with Kurdpress that Kurdish forces in Syria are working to move weapons to Afrin, in the Kurdish northern regions, in order to attack and oust Turkey army forces and its allies.

"They ( the Kurdish forces) are working to move weapons to Afrin, and they are doing this successfully. In the last few months, Kurdish force began using guided missiles against Turkish forces in a rate higher than ever. This is a great example of how Kurdish forces are successfully moving more weapons, more advanced weapons to Afrin to use them again Turkish forces," the analyst said.
"Damascus maintain a stand that northeastern Syria should be captured from the SDF. Few weeks ago, Syria's defense minister said that the region will be liberated by force if necessary. However, I think that dialogue is the priority for both sides as for now. Militarily speaking the Syrian army is now more concerned with Idlib. Kurdish forces are more concerned with Afrin," the analyst said about posible Syria military operation against the Kurdish forces controling the region.
The analyst confirmed Turkey's intention to attack northern Kurdish regions of Syria but stressed that "Ankara would only do this with a green light from Washington. As for now, Trump's administration appears to be against any Turkish attack."
"Idlib is currently under a Russian-Turkish de-esclation agreement. More than 12 Turkish observation posts were established around the province. A 15-20 demilitarized zone was also established. Turkish forces are alsoconducting patrols around the province. However, the province is still controlled by al-Qaeda-affiliated HTS and Turkey is doing nothing at all to change this. Al-Qaeda-linked groups are enjoying great freedom in Idlib under the eyes of the Turkish military. Still, the Syrian army can't attack, as for now, due to the Russian-Turkish agreement, this will for sure change in the near future, if not this year, the next. there will be a military operation against al-Qaeda in Idlib," the analyst said about the last military arrangement in Idlib Province.
