“We are waiting for the parliamentary session in order to sign the protocol,” Ahmad Pira said.
According to NRT he also said that no further issues remained between the party and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
“The PUK political bureau will meet [on Monday] about the formation of the government and the current situation in the Region,” he added, without specifying a date.
Regarding rumors that he will be appointed as agriculture minister in the new cabinet, he said that he had not asked for the candidacy and did not say whether he would accept if asked.
The announcement follows a similarly positive statement by the Gorran Movement earlier in the day that said it had submitted its final decision regarding its participation in the new government to the KDP.
