A researcher at a Washington institute believes that the U.S. can change its plan in Syria so that the White House does not focus on sending arms to the Kurds in the country and the situation would therefore decreases worries in Ankara and in this way it is not doomed to choose between turkey and the Syrian Kurdish forces of Peoples’ Protection Units (YPG).

Bilal Wahab, a researcher at Washington Institute for Middle East believes that the U.S. approach about the Kurds in Syria can change from military support to conservative political support.

In an article released on the website of the institute, the researcher has stated that better U.S. ties with Turkey can help stabilizing the situation in Syria.

The expert has warned that it would be a great woe if the U.S. cuts its military support as well as political support to the Kurds.
