Iran refutes rumors of talks with US

<p style="text-align: left;">Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman on Sunday rejected the alleged reports about talks between Iran and the US.

There is no direct or indirect talks between Iran and the US, Abbas Mousavi said.

The official strongly rejected the media reports, quoting a Kuwaiti official about talks between Tehran and Washington, IRNA reported.

The local media in Kuwait quoted the country's Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah as saying that Kuwait is confident that wisdom, reasoning and a state of calm will prevail in the region without the need for clashes.

&ldquo; We, being within this circle, believe that there is a cause for hope and optimism, that there will be control that does not present any danger or threat to the region&rsquo;s security,&rdquo; he claimed.

Asked if negotiations similar to North Korea were on the table, the Kuwaiti official claimed, &ldquo; It seems that negotiations between both sides have begun, as moves and calls are already being made."
