The mayor of Choman district Ahmad Qadr told NRT that warplanes bombed the Zinian area between Sidakan and Smelan sub-districts in the Rost Valley.
The deceased was named as Mansour Nafii Abdulla, who was a member of the police.
His brother Pashew Nafii Abdulla was wounded. “Turkey’s warplanes bombed areas near the villages,” Qadr added. NRT Digital Media reporter Abdo Rsotai said that the airstrike also targeted a civilian vehicle that was carrying the pair.
