Kurdish Elite Congress kicks off in Sanandaj

<p style="text-align:left">The first-ever Kurdish Elite Congress was launched on Thursday, June 2, in Sanandaj the capital of Kurdistan province where 30 Kurdish and 5 non-Kurdish prominent figures would be honored.

The event is organized by Kurdistan Province governorate to award 30 distinguished Kurdish artists, writers, scholars, and renowned figures in other fields.

The Kurdish Elite Congress will last for two days, during which several panels will be held to discuss the Kurdish cultural aspects and academic researches related to the Kurds.

Besides the Kurdish figures, five foreigners, who devoted their life to study and research about the Kurds, will be awarded.
