Bashar al-Kiki told al-Ghad press news agency that the members of the PKK have occupied all buildings in Shingal and have disrupted activities in the governmental offices of the city, warning that the elements of the PKK have 10 days to quit Shingal.

Meanwhile a member of the PKK told the news agency on the condition of anonymity that the forces of the PKK would not leave Shingal and would remain in the city.

He stated that the PKK protected Yizidis against the Islamic State and therefore the PKK withdrawal from the city would not benefit its security and stability.
