Pro-Kurdish HDP, IYI fail to surpass election threshold, opinion poll says

<p style="text-align: left;">MAK opinion poll company has predicted that Turkey pro-Kurdish Peoples&amp;rsquo; Democratic Party (HDP) and IYI party would stop short of passing that 10 percent threshold to go to Turkey parliament as a party.

Divar daily quoted that a MAK company opinion polls conducted from May 13 to May 20 as predicting that the two parties would fail to surpass the threshold.

According to the poll ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) will achieve 41.5 percent, the Peoples&rsquo; Republican Party (CHP) will gain 21.5 percent, IYI 8 percent, HDP 8.5 percent and National Movement Party (MHP) 8.5 percent of the votes.

Meawhile Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would will achieve 48.5 percent of the votes and CHP candidate Muharrem Ince, IYI candidate Meral Aksener, HDP leader Selahattin Demirtas would follow him with 22.5 percent, 11.5 percent and 9 percent respectively.
