MIT arrests senior PKK leader, news agency reports

Turkey's state-run Anadolu news agency claimed that Turkey Intelligence Service (MIT) had arrested a senior Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader on Iraqi soil.

Anadolu News Agency, the official media of the Turkish government, quoted the security officials of the country as saying: "Ibrahim Parim, the head of the logistics affairs of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) was arrested during the operation of the Turkish security forces in Iraq and in the Sinjar region."
The news agency added Ibrahim Parim, nicknamed Lasher, was returned to Turkey after his arrest. He is currently in the custody of the Ankara Police Counter-Terrorism Unit.
Anadolu did not mention how the PKK official was arrested and how he was arrested is still unknown. MIT and the Turkish government also did not comment on whether a group or faction cooperated with MIT in the operation. On the other hand, the PKK has not denied or confirmed the report yet.
