The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that a bomb-laden vehicle exploded in front of the post office in Tirbe Spi town.
Several other people were wounded in the blast, which caused substantial damage to the area, NRT reported.
Tirbe Spi is a predominantly Kurdish town 30 kilometers from Qamishlo.
No group immediately claimed responsibility.
