In a statement, Barzani announced that Kurdistan is ready to provide assistance the wounded.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the stampede victims in Karbala, as more than 30 people lost their lives and many more were injured,” the statement said.

Barzani further state in the statement that “we express our deepest sympathy and wish the families of the victims comfort and patience during this difficult time. May the victims rest in peace and we wish a speedy recovery for the injured. The Kurdistan Region is ready to provide medical assistance to the wounded.”
