Turkish policeman killed in PKK attack in Sirnak

<p style="text-align: left;">A Turkish soldier was killed during an operation in the southeastern Kurdish province of Sirnak, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on June 9.

Citing security sources speaking on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, the news agency reported that another soldier was also injured during the drone-backed operation targeting the Kurdistan Workers&rsquo; Party (PKK).

Security forces killed three PKK militants in the operation, the provincial governor&rsquo;s office said in a statement.

The operation is still underway, the sources added.
