Earlier on Friday, multiple air raids were reported from the border regions. Turkish military claimed yesterday that it had destroyed several PKK positions.
The increase of airstrikes comes after Turkish top officials on different occasions threatened to conduct anti-PKK operations in Qandil, Makhmour and Sinjar regions of Kurdistan.
However, the threatenings by Ankara are believed to have been part of electoral campaign of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) ahead of the snap election on 24 June.
