Kurds, Arabs in Syria ready to negotiate with Damascus

A leading member of the Syria Democratic Council stated that Kurds and Arabs in the country are ready to form a joint delegation for holding talks with the central government in Damascus.

Hekmat Habibi told AFP that Kurds and Arabs are seeking to form a joint team for negotiating with Damascus, adding that Kurds and Arabs are in talks in Tabqa city and the meeting is to form a joint platform to the beginning of talks with the Syrian central government.

He reiterated that the platform would include all self-ruling regions n northern Syria.

It is worth mentioning that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has already expressed his government’s willingness for holding talks with the Kurd- Arab joint force.
