In its latest report on the situation in the Kurdish city of Afrin in Syria, the independent ACAPS has warned of the dire situation in the city, especially for the Kurds.
The watchdog group has warned that Turkish-linked insurgent groups continue to allow refugees from other parts of Syria to stay in the city, which has accelerated the demographic change in the Kurdish city.
The organization warned that the Kurds have been subjected to the untmost repression and intimidation by insurgent groups, with the remaining 80% of the Kurdish population in the city being targeted by the insurgent groups affiliated with Turkey and are being threatened, killed, detained on a daily basis.
The group has described access to livelihoods, including food, for Afrin residents, especially Kurds as very low.
According to the report, Kurdish farmers in Afrin have faced exorbitant taxes imposed by the insurgents.
