ENKS needs to be prepared for further talks, says KDPS official

A member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Syrian (KDPS) said the National Council of Syrian Kurdistan (ENKS) should prepare itself for further talks according to the agreements it has made.

Galu Issa, the member of the Central Committee of the KDPS, commented on the remarks yesterday made by the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazlum Kobani, regarding the return of Roj Peshmerga forces to Syrian Kurdistan under the Duhok agreement and told KurdPress that these remarks are not something new and General Kobani had made them before.

He continued: "The Duhok Agreement was made based on the three principles of forming a high-level political body, the political management in Syrian Kurdistan and the military situation, and the recent statements have been made in line with further talks and more negotiations between the ENKS and the Kurdish Patriotic Union Parties (PYNK).

Mr.Issa further told in the interview that: "Negotiations had been suspended for several months due to the absence of the US representative in the talks and the terms and conditions made be the ENKS, which are unfounded and it is necessary to prepare for the negotiations based on the agreements it had made with the PYNK."
