Brett McGurk wants a Kurdish agreement in Syria, party official tells KurdPress

A member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Syria (PDKS) said that a American delegation is in Syria so that the two Kurdish movements in the war-torn country can reach an agreement on various issues.

"Brett McGurk (the head of the US delegation) is a friend of the Kurds and from the beginning, when Kobani was under siege, he played an important role in coordinating the forces of the International Coalition Against ISIS with the Kurdish forces in Syria, and helped the Kurds a lot in this regard," Help Issa told KurdPress news agency.
He continued: "McGurk's recent visit to the region was in the same context and he wants the Kurds in Syria to get united," the Kurdish official said, adding that the American delegation is currently in Syrian Kurdistan on behalf of Michael Bronstein and has held several meetings with both sides of the Kurdish movement in Syria and preparations have been made for the resumption of talks.
Mr. Issa added: "On the other hand, both the United States and the command of the Syrian Democratic Forces guarantee the results of these talks and want the two sides to reach an agreement and overcome their problems."
The Kurdistan Democratic Party of Syria (PDKS) Central Committee member also noted that a new phase of talks would begin in the coming days and added: "As the Kurdish Patriotic National Parties (PYNK) we believe the Kurds must have a common position with both the international community and the Syrian opposition in order to deal better with future political events so that they can achieve their demands."
