Barzani's statement came on January 27, one day after five rockets targeted the Green Zone in Baghdad, one of them reportedly burned down the canteen of the US embassy.
The Kurdish president argued that such attacks will result in serious damage to Iraq's interests and stability in the country.
He also made it clear that the international law should not be violated, and that no foreign diplomats should be harmed.
Meanwhile, Barzani said, Iraq cannot be a battleground for regional and international parties.
