The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said it had rescued 45 people from the wreckage since the earthquake struck Elazig’s Sivrice district on Friday, adding that 1,516 of the 1,607 people admitted to hospital had been discharged.
According to Ahval news agency the last body trapped under the debris was recovered, head of AFAD, Mehmet Gulluoglu, said on Twitter.
The organisation said search and rescue efforts were continuing and that 948 aftershocks had been experienced in the area, with 21 of them above magnitude 4.
Some 2,945 damaged buildings had been identified, with 1,287 of these badly damaged and 87 demolished, AFAD’s statement said.
On Monday, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu announced that the owners of badly damaged and demolished buildings would receive 6,893 dollars.
