Iraqi forces kill four IS member in Kirkuk

<p style="text-align: left;">The Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement on Sunday (April 19) that four Islamic State (IS) militants have been killed in a clash with the Iraqi security forces in Kirkuk.

According to the statement, the clash lasted for three hours in Hamira village north of Kirkuk and after the four militants were killed the security forces seized several weapons and explosives in possession of the militants, NRT said in a report.

IS militants continue to be active in and around Kirkuk and Diyala, despite its defeat and loss of the territory, and have launched a number of attacks over the last few months.
