Iran records lowest infection cases after 36 days

<p style="text-align: left;">Iran&amp;rsquo;s Health Ministry Spokesman said that 991 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country in the past 24 hours, which is the lowest number in the past 36 days.

"According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to April 27 in the country, 991 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 91, 472," said Kianoush Jahanpour on Monday about the latest data on the deadly coronavirus in the country.

He continued: "Today, after 36 days, the number of new cases or daily cases of COVID-19 reached under a thousand cases."

"Fortunately, 70,933 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far," Jahanpour added.

The head of the Ministry of Public Relations Center said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 96 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, so 5,806 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official further stated that "3,096 patients are in a critical condition and so far, 432,329 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country. The managed process of COVID-19 disease and the declining trend of new patients with coronavirus continues and its continuation depends on the cooperation of the people."
