Iraqi PM-designate sends 8 candidates names to ministerial portfolios

<p style="text-align: left;">A close source to the caretaker Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi revealed on Monday that the latter sent some members of his cabinet to the regulatory authorities to audit them.

&ldquo;Al-Kadhimi sent 8 names of the cabinet&rsquo;s candidates after agreeing on them with the political forces and having no objection or reservation on them to the Commission of Integrity, Accountability, Justice and Criminal Restrictions to check the candidate&rsquo;s files and ensuring that there are no suspicions or previous cases against them,&rdquo; A close source to of Al-Kadhimi told Shafaq News.

"The 8 ministries, which sent the names of their candidates, are all services ministries that don&rsquo;t include any sovereign ministry or ministries that have political differences over them," the source who required anonymity said, refusing to reveal the names of the candidates, before completing their audit by the supervisory authorities.

Fadel Al-Fatlawi, a deputy from Al-Fateh bloc group considered on Sunday that the Minister of Health and Environment , Jaffar Sadiq Allawi and the Minister of Construction, Housing and Municipalities , Bangen Abdullah Rekani are worthy of their positions in the next government.

On Friday, the Shiite forces met with the official in charge of forming the government, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, and expressed their refusal to nominate ministers in his government, including the Kurds and Sunnis.

Al-Kadhimi has the support of most of the major political forces in the three Shiite, Kurdish, and Sunni components, and has promised to give confidence to his government formation through its parliamentary blocs in the parliament.

On April 9 Iraqi President Barham Salih authorized Al-Kadhimi to form the government within 30 days, less than an hour after the former Prime Minister-designate, Adnan al-Zorfi, announced his apology for this task.
