"The second phase of negotiations between the Syria Kurdistan National Council (ENKS) and the Kurdish Patriotic Union Parties (PYNK) has begun. It includes issues such as regional governance, military forces, and the economic situation," Tariq Kheiraki, also the deputy leader of the Kurdistani Freedom Movement (ŞAK) in Syria, told KurdPress in an interview.
"The Roj Peshmerga is a popular force and the people of Syria Kurdistan support it and its existence is necessary for the Kurds," the deputy leader of ŞAK said about the situation of the Roj Peshmerga, which is affiliated with the ENKS.
Tariq Kheiraki stated: "Any dialogue should discuss the role of the Peshmerga and any dialogue without it is not complete."
"Any agreement that does not include the fate of the Roj Peshmerga will not be successful," he further said.
"We, as the Kurdistan Freedom Movement in Syria, support the Kurdish-Kurdish talks in Syria Kurdistan which is in the national interest of the Kurds," said Kheiraki.
He added: "The Middle East is undergoing radical changes and the Kurds are a part of this process of change and they must be prepared for the change and move in that direction."
"It is necessary for the Kurdish movements to unite on common interests and projects for Syria Kurdistan and to support the change," he also said.
