According to Radio Nova news site, Mohammad Haji Mahmoud, Secretary General of the Kurdistan Social Democratic Party, referred to recent developments in the region and the occupation of Afghanistan by the Taliban, and stated during a meeting of the party's political office that after 20 years of US and international aid to Afghanistan for the formation of a modern country, Taliban army were able to quickly take over the country, and this situation has created new political and military equations in the region.
Regarding the Iraqi parliamentary elections, Haji Mahmoud added that the new Iraqi election law will be to the detriment of the Kurdistan Region and that the number of Kurdish seats in the Iraqi parliament will be reduced.
He also announced that the seventh party congress will be held on November 17 due to the situation in Kurdistan Region.
