<p style="text-align: left;">An air warfare journal reported that civilian casualties have increased during Turkish airstrikes in Iraq and Syria in August.

The Aerial Warfare Magazine, which oversees air operations in the Middle East, reported that Turkish airstrikes in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and northern Syria have doubled in August in comparison to the previous month.

According to the report, the Turkish military continued its airstrikes in Iraq and Syria in August, but the number doubled from the previous month, indicating the intensification of Turkish airstrikes in two the countries.

According to the magazine, three civilians were killed and seven others were injured in the bombings in the Kurdish areas of Syria.

A total of 12 to 18 civilians were killed in Turkish airstrikes in Iraq and Syria in August.

The highest number of civilian casualties in Iraq since August 2020 was reported in 2015, when information on civilian casualties from airstrikes was recorded, according to the journal. This shows that Turkish airstrikes in the Kurdistan region which are carried out under the pretext of the PKK have increased sharply.
