PUK condemns Turkey attack on Kirkuk

The political office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has condemned a Turkish airstrike in the Qara Anjir area near Kirkuk which killed one person and injured two others.

The PUK political bureau strongly condemned the Turkish army's airstrikes on the village of Seydani in Qara Anjir in the Chamchamal region between Kirkuk and Sulaimani, according to Rudaw TV.

The statement said that violating the depth of the borders and the airspace of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region is a very dangerous action and called for the attacks to be stopped as soon as possible, because there is no justification for violating the borders and harming innocent people.

It should be noted that following the attack, which took place on the evening of Friday, October 8, a vehicle allegedly carrying PKK forces was attacked. One person was killed and two others were injured in the attack.

It is worth mention that Turkey heavily bombed the area last week.
