Nouri al-Maliki says Erbil has no other way but to send its oil through SOMO

In an exclusive interview with Sharpers news agency, former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki stated: "There is no other option for the Kurdistan region except to export its oil through the SOMO company," saying "Otherwise, the court will force us to do this."

According to Sharpers, Nouri al-Maliki, also the head of the State of Law Coalition, stated in a news interview in Baghdad, the details of which will be broadcast soon, mentioned several political issues and the simultaneous problems between Erbil and Baghdad and the rule by the Paris International Court over the oil dispute between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi government.

He warned: The only solution for Iraq and the region is to adhere to the law and implement the oil and gas law.

In this interview, Maliki stated: Kurdistan has no other way but to export its oil through the SOMO company. If we cannot do it ourselves, the Paris International Court will certainly force us to do it.

Regarding the interference of the United States and Iran in Iraq affairs, he emphasized that Iraq and Iran are two neighboring countries and own their territorial integrity. "We will not allow either the United States or Iran to interfere in the affairs of Iraq, and we will never be satisfied that the Iraqi government is above the interests of its citizens and the territorial integrity of the country should compromise with other governments."

Maliki announced about early elections that early elections are not held in Iraq and we all agreed that the new cabinet will be the cabinet to end crises.
