PUK delegation continues holding meetings in Baghdad

A delegation of officials from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) continued its meetings in Baghdad with other political parties, as the post-election government formation process continues in the country.

The PUK delegation met later on Thursday, November 11, with members of the Sadrist Movement, which won the most seats in last month’s parliamentary election, according to the party’s official media outlet.
On Wednesday, they met with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, leader of the National Wisdom Movement, and outgoing speaker of the Council of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbusi, whose party became the largest in the Sunni bloc.
They also met with Fatah Alliance leader Hadi al-Amiri and Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Committee Faleh al-Fayyad.
The PUK’s delegation includes Khaled Shwani, Dr. Majid Hama Amin, and Rebwar Taha.
