Kawe Sheikh Mus, a member of the Communications Committee of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), claimed the Turkish army would soon launch a new military operation in Iraqi Kurdistan, and that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) had agreed to the attack.
"The Turkish military operation will be carried out with the consent of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)," Sheikh Mus told Baghdad Al-Youm.
"The KDP will facilitate the Turkish military operation in Iraq, and the operation will be launched in the border areas with Iraq, as well as in the villages of the Qandil region," he added.
The KDP dismissed the allegations in a statement after some media outlets close to the PKK claimed that a new military offensive would be launched by the Turkish military in cooperation with the KDP on April 15 and that there would be no such an attack.
