Iraqi tribes condemn attack on Iran consulate

<p style="text-align:left">Tribes of Basra governorate in Iraq denounced in a statement released on Sunday the recent attack on Iranian consulate in the Iraqi city.

The Iraqi tribes living north of Basra governorate in their statement described the attack on Iranian consulate as unacceptable.
Also, a number of Iraqi tribes met with Iranian Ambassador to Iraqi Iraj Masjedi on Sunday and condemned the move, noting that the elements supported by the Saudi Arabia and the US have been behind the attack.
Iraqis will not forget Iran's support for Iraq in fighting the IS, the Iraqi tribes stressed during the meeting.
Iraqi TV channel al-Ahd broadcasted several audio files from the Saudi intelligence agency's involvement in the recent unrest in Basra province and its connection with some elements in the security apparatus of this province.
The network has received the audio files from its own certain sources indicating that the Saudi intelligence agency has been trying to recruit people in Basra to use them on special occasions and on missions.
