Turkey jets bomb areas in Kurdistan Region

<p style="text-align: left;">Turkish warplanes hit mountainous areas in the Zakho district of the Kurdistan Region on Monday, November 19.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">According to NRT the Turkish fighter warplanes struck Khamtir Mountain near Zakho on Monday morning.<br /> The bombardment has caused concern among villagers near the area, the report said.<br /> Casualties and what damage was caused by the air strike remained unclear.<br /> A witness told NRT that the Turkish warplanes had bombed the mountain twice on Monday.<br /> Three Kurdish civilians were killed in Turkish airstrikes in the Kurdistan Region's Amedi district last week.<br /> Turkey has intermittently carried out airstrikes against suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the Kurdistan Region.
