The leader of the alliance, Shaswar Abdulwahid, said their work in the favor of the people continues and in the next few days the alliance will meet and make new decisions regarding the political process of Iraq.

Abdulwahid said their meetings will also include talks on the formation of the new Iraqi government.

He said they are forming alliances with others on the basis of serving the country and its people.

The Alliance for the People is an opposition coalition formed in December 2021 of MPs from the NGM and the Imtidad Movement, as well as a few MPs from other parties.
