Iraq’s National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araj said Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al Sudani will visit the Iranian capital Teheran on Tuesday this week, Esta Media Network reported.

Sudani is set to discuss several issues there with the Iranian officials including the latest increasing bombardments by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), targeting the Kurdish opposition groups’ bases that are situated in the Region, according to Araji’s words.

Speaking about Erbil-Baghdad’s outstanding issues, Araji said that “there is a political will to resolve all of the issues.”

According to Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to Iran's President Mohammad Jamshidi Iraqi Prime Minister al-Sudani is scheduled to travel to Tehran for an official visit on Monday.

Jamshidi said that al-Sudani will be heading a politico-economic delegation to Tehran.

The one-day visit to Iran by the Iraqi prime minister is aimed at promotion of bilateral and regional cooperation where a cooperation document will also be signed by the two sides, the official said.
