US decision against Iran oil will put many countries in trouble: Mahmoud Osman

<p style="text-align: left;">Iraqi Kurdish prominent politician and a former parliament deputy Mahmoud Osman believes the US decision to squeeze oil export from Iran and cancel waivers for the countries which need Iran&amp;rsquo;s oil, including Iraq.

Osman told Kurdpress in an interview that US President Donald Trump has created tensions and troubles since he has taken power, recently the white House decision to cancel waivers for Iran trade, warning that the decision will create troubles for many states, including Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in the north.

He stated that Trump had better to go the way former US President Barack Obama took and was better to find solutions for the troubles in cooperation with European states

Osman further added that the Kurdish region and Iraq cannot put the US decision in action and stay committed to the decision in cancelling waivers for trade with Iran as the region and Iraq&rsquo;s joint border with Iran is 1458 kilometers long and they enjoy intertwined interests.

The Kurdistan Region and Iraq are keep the balance in their ties with Iran and their relation with US and its demands, Osman further stated, stressing that any decision in the region and Iraq should be made within Iraq national interests and Iraq should follow an independent policy in the present situation.

Answering a question about the future of the tensions between the US and Iran, Osman told Kurdpress that the role of the regional countries, including Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan and Persian Gulf states and all Iran neighbors as well as European states is very important in the situation.

Osman underlined the decisive role of the Iranian people during the sanctions and assured that US will fail in putting all its threats and plans against Iran into action.
