Iraq President files lawsuit against parliament speaker over new budget

<p style="text-align: left;">The Iraqi President Fuad Masum has filed a lawsuit against Parliament Speaker Salim Al-Jubouri over the recent passing of the federal budget for 2018, local media reported.

The lawsuit claimed the budget has violated the allocations for the Kurdistan Region, Middle East Monitor reported.

The Iraqi Parliament passed on Tuesday the $88.5 billion budget, however the session was boycotted by Kurdish lawmakers who protested against the region’s diminished share.
